Understanding download and upload speeds
Download capacity is used when you receive content, such as streaming a film or downloading a game. Upload capacity is used when you send files, share your camera during a video call or back up data to the cloud.
Basic plans have a higher download speed than upload speed. For example, Gold Basic provides 500 Mbps download and 100 Mbps upload.
If you regularly upload large files or need more capacity for sending data, compare our Premium plans, which offer equal upload and download speeds.

Not necessarily. More download capacity helps with game downloads, updates and shared use. During online play, latency, packet loss and the connection between your device and router also matter.
What is the difference between Basic and Premium?
Basic has higher download than upload speeds. Premium offers equal upload and download speeds, providing more upload capacity for activities such as large file transfers and frequent cloud backups.
Is installation free?
Free installation is available with a 24-month contract, subject to coverage and a site survey. Other contract options have different installation charges. Our team will explain the applicable requirements and costs before you order.
Are other contract lengths available?
The published tariff includes options without a minimum commitment period and with 6, 12 or 24 months. Monthly prices and installation charges vary by option. Check the full tariff or ask our team for the terms available for your address.
