What internet speed do I get with Lazer Smart Internet?
All Smart plans include a 1 Gbps (1000 Mbps) fibre download connection with 250 Mbps upload speed. This is enough for multiple devices streaming 4K simultaneously, competitive online gaming with low latency, and HD video calls without buffering, all at the same time. There are no data caps and no throttling on any Smart plan.
What areas in the Algarve does Lazer cover?
Lazer Smart Internet is available across the Algarve, including Faro, Loulé, Albufeira, Vilamoura, Almancil, Espartal, Vale da Telha, Foia, Olhão, Quarteira, Cacela, Portimão, Lagoa and surrounding areas. Coverage is subject to network availability at your specific address. You can check availability in under a minute using the Lazer coverage map, and if you’re on the boundary of our network, our local team can confirm directly.
Is there a contract commitment?
All Smart plans are subject to a 24-month contract, which includes free professional installation by our local Algarve technicians. Coverage must be confirmed at your address before signing up. What TV channels are included with Lazer Smart Internet?
All Smart plans include 32 TV channels. These cover Portuguese national channels (RTP 1, RTP 2, SIC family) and a range of English-language channels including Docubox, FunBox HD, Film Arthouse, Gametoon and more. TVI, CMTV and CNN Portugal are coming soon. For expats who want to access their home-country content, BBC iPlayer, Netflix US, RTÉ and others, NordVPN is included in Smart Control and Smart Ultimate plans, or available as an add-on.
Can I add NordVPN or eero Wi-Fi to my plan?
Yes. NordVPN is included in Smart Control and Smart Ultimate. eero whole-home Wi-Fi mesh (2 nodes, covering up to 300m²) is included in Smart Boost and Smart Ultimate. If you want both NordVPN and eero Wi-Fi, Smart Ultimate is the most complete option and the best value. NordVPN gives you access to streaming content from 60+ countries on up to 10 devices simultaneously.

Smart plans are on a 24-month contract. If you move within the Lazer coverage area, your plan can typically transfer to your new address with a new contract. If you move outside the coverage area or leave Portugal, contact our team to discuss your situation, we’ll always try to find the fairest solution.
